"The UCLA Undergraduate Science Journal is a peer-reviewed publication registered with the Library of Congress, featuring top-quality research performed by UCLA undergraduates in all STEM fields, including life sciences, engineering, statistics, physics, mathematics, and computer science. We aim to provide a multidisciplinary platform that allows students to publish their research and engage with the larger research community at UCLA and also involves students with the peer review process."

What We Do

The Undergraduate Science Journal features original research articles and review articles written by UCLA undergraduates, exposes students to the intricate UCLA research community, and provides a new venue for interaction between faculty and students. USJ offers undergraduates an unparalleled opportunity to learn and take part in the extensive publishing process of a scientific journal.

Deadline: Nov. 15 at 12:00 AM
USJ is looking for talented and committed reviewers, editors, and designers hoping to gain in-depth exposure to scientific articles through participation in our Honors seminar course and active engagement in the scientific review process. Prospective staff members of all years and majors may apply to join the Review Board, Editorial Board, or Layout Board. All application information is available on our website, where potential applicants can also sign up for our mailing list for updates about recruitment and other opportunities.

Interview
Deadline: Nov. 15 at 12:00 AM
Applications will be reviewed by managing editors of each board and select applicants will receive an invitation to interview. Interviews will be conducted with members of executive leadership.
